J-Rocks to Perform at SOUNDSFEST 2025, Ready to Present New Material

Kapanlagi.com - Jakarta will host SOUNDSFEST 2025, a music festival that was previously held in Bekasi. The event will take place over three days, from May 23 to 25, 2025, at Gambir Expo, Kemayoran. One of the bands confirmed to perform is J-Rocks, which is ready to present new material in their performance.

J-Rocks' bassist, Swara Wimayoga or Wima, revealed that the band is preparing new songs for the festival. They plan to release several singles before the event takes place.

"For Ramadan, we are indeed aiming to release a single, we are currently mixing and mastering, hopefully we can make it. But for sure, after Eid, there will be one single ready to be released," said Wima when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (21/2/2025).

1. Production Has Started

In addition, Wima mentioned that the production of the songs has started, but there are still several stages that need to be completed.

"If the production has several songs, we hope to keep up, at least once every two months. We are trying to be productive," he said.

2. Presenting a Different Concept

SOUNDFEST, which has been held in Bekasi, has finally decided to move to Jakarta. This festival will present a different concept with four main stages and three supporting areas. Rayn Alvi Maharan, as the Festival Director of SOUNDFEST, revealed the reason for the festival's move to Jakarta.

"We saw in the last two years that our audience has always been packed, so we think it’s time to expand and move to Jakarta," explained Rayn.

In addition to the main stage, this festival will also feature a Community Area that includes various art activities, including live mural, creative workshops, and art exhibitions. Not only that, the stand-up comedy community will also enliven the event.

Visitors can also enjoy the Games Area that offers various exciting games, as well as the F&B Area and Marketplace showcasing major and local tenants from Bekasi.

3. Presenting International Musicians and Glenn Fredly

Soundfest Jakarta 2025 will be even more special with the presence of international musicians such as Phum Viphurit, a singer from Thailand, and Punjabi MC, a rapper from England of Indian descent.

Not only that, the committee will also present Glenn Fredly in hologram form. Rayn explained that Glenn was supposed to perform in 2020, but those plans were canceled due to the pandemic.

"In 2019, Soundfest invited Glenn and he was supposed to perform in 2020 as well, but because of the pandemic and Glenn leaving us, it didn't happen. And when we go to Jakarta, we want to bring Glenn Fredly back," Rayn said.

4. Line Up SOUNDFEST 2025

In addition to J-Rocks, SOUNDSFEST 2025 will feature various renowned Indonesian musicians, including Abdul & The Coffee Theory, Bernadya, D'Masiv, Denny Caknan, Eleventwelfth, Feel Koplo, For Revenge, Juicy Luicy, Kahitna.

There will also be Kelompok Penerbang Roket, Last Child, Maliq & D'Essentials, Morfem, Nadin Amizah, Pamungkas, Pee Wee Gaskins, Perunggu, Rumah Sakit, Sal Priadi, The Changcuters, The Jeblogs, The Panturas, The Sigit, and many more.
