Lagu 'Tahalang Restu' Receives Positive Response, Yogie Nandes Delighted

The success of Tahalang Restu makes him want to continue producing the next Minang pop songs. He also hopes that young Minang musicians can produce contemporary Minang pop songs again.

"My hope is that there will be more contemporary Minang songs produced by other Minang musicians or singers that can be introduced to the wider public, so that when Minang songs have a place among national listeners, we can slowly introduce the more distinctive Minang music elements to a wider audience," he continued.

Yogie also hopes that the success of the song Tahalang Restu can make Minang music accepted by national music listeners.

"Consider this as a first step for Minang music to be more accepted by national listeners before we present the more distinctive Minang elements," he added.
