LAUV Releases Single "First Heartbreak" After Going Viral in Senopati & Hanging Out with Boy William

Kapanlagi.com - Multi-platinum artist, Lauv, shares his latest single titled “First Heartbreak” (12/09/2024). The latest single from the American singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist was released following his performances in Singapore, Seoul, and Summer Sonic Bangkok recently.

About his new song, Lauv said, “First Heartbreak is one of my favorite songs I've ever written because it is very sad yet also very uplifting and full of hope. Even though the feeling of a first heartbreak is incredibly intense, this song reminds me that love is everywhere if I open my heart.”

Last April, Lauv released the single “Potential”, which became his first single since the summer of 2023, as well as a preview of his upcoming new era. “Potential” is also his first release since he began a new collaboration with global record company AWAL.

Lauv also took the time to meet with his fans in Indonesia, specifically when he attended the Prambors Karaoke Night: Lauv Edition event which gathered his fans at Caiman Music Room, Senopati last May. Lauv entered the karaoke room when the song “Potential” was playing. His fans were surprised when Lauv suddenly sang in the middle of them. A post on X showing that rare moment went viral and has garnered over 1.4 million views on X.

While in Indonesia, Lauv also took the opportunity to visit Boy William's house where he sang the song “Mean It" on Boy's piano. Lauv also chatted with Fathia Izzati on the MAKNA Talks podcast where he discussed his creative process and the importance of honesty in his works.

This year, Lauv also collaborated with Jeremy Zucker and Alexander 23 on the single “Cozy.” The three of them performed the song live for the first time at the Seoul Jazz Fest last June.

Lauv has successfully achieved over 14 billion streams globally and currently has over 17 million monthly listeners on Spotify, making him one of the most successful musicians in the pop genre. It’s no wonder that Lauv's music is referred to as open pop music crafted beautifully by Billboard. Lauv's extraordinary talent also extends to the big screen when he was invited to write and perform the original song “Steal The Show” for the Academy Award-nominated animated film by Disney and Pixar, Elemental.
