"Of course, I am happy, and the story in the lyrics of this song really relates," said Gamila Arief.

The song Balada Kaum Cembokur is the first single from Gamila Arief's third album. She also shared a little bit about the process of creating this 80s-themed song.

"I wanted to capture my favorite music from the 1980s, wanted to give a gift to myself," said Gamila Arief.

"Initially, I found the melody of the song when I was on my way to a friend's wedding. When I found the melody, I recorded a voice note on my cellphone," she said.

He mentioned that, in general, this song tells the story of a woman's obsession with being able to be in a relationship with her crush. Unfortunately, her love is unrequited because her crush already has a partner.

"We can only imagine if he were ours. Actually, this song feels like a nostalgia for me and my friends in our youth," she said.
