Change Stage Name, Steven Hwang Releases Latest Single

Kapanlagi.com - Marking his stage name change, Steven Hwang has just released his latest single. Titled Red Light Green Light, the song is his first release since changing his name from Steven Timothy.

As known, Steven has previously released 4 singles and 1 album containing 8 of his own compositions. And in this latest song, he brings a fresh and different touch compared to his previous works.

"So, long story short, in 2021 I started my career with my new stage name, which is Steven Hwang, and also with a new genre. So the genre I'm pursuing now is EDM, Pop-EDM, sometimes my songs can also be called Electronic-R&B because I often use electronic instruments to make my music," he explained when contacted recently.

In his new song, Steven also incorporates something new, which is the language aspect. Yup! In order to create a fresh atmosphere, he uses the Korean Language that he has been delving into for some time now.

"I have been learning Korean for almost 2 years. Many people also ask me why I am learning Korean. And my answer is always the same. I like the language because it is unique," he explained.

2. Influence of K-Pop

Steven admits that he does indeed enjoy music from Korea. In fact, several Korean boy bands and girl bands have influenced Steven's music development to become what it is today. So, who are Steven's idols?

"I have more female idols. They are IU, Heize, Joy Red Velvet, and Rose Blackpink," he concluded.
