“Although it hurts, I will not let them influence or control my life. We will not fall into their negative trap because we choose to spread love instead of hate. We move on with our lives by being the opposite of them, by respecting and appreciating others, that's Anti-You," she said when contacted recently.

The pop and jazz-infused song Anti-You is a result of collaboration between Janina and renowned musicians, namely Mery Kasiman (Arranger & Music Producer), Julian Marantika (Arranger & Keyboards), Kevin Yosua (Electric Bass), Elfa Zulham (Drums), Brury Effendy (Trumpet & Flugelhorn), and Danny Ardiono (mixing & mastering).

The song-making process took ten days from the initial idea to the final song along with its chords. After that, it took two months to arrange, record vocals and instruments in the studio, and go through the mixing & mastering process.

2. The Most Difficult Part

The most challenging part of creating this song was pouring her emotions into it. Janina is accustomed to suppressing her feelings, so it required special effort to be more open and step out of her comfort zone.

Janina hopes that this song can entertain friends who have experienced the same thing and also raise awareness that toxic behavior is unacceptable.

“No need to seek revenge, leave toxic people behind, use your time and energy to spread love and grow together with those who always support you,” she concluded.
