Kapanlagi.com - On December 10, 2021, a few days ago, Soulvibe officially released their latest single titled Bukan Di Lagu Yang Sama (Not in the Same Song). This song is the sixth song from their fifth album.
In this latest song, the vocalist tells a story about a relationship that has different directions and eventually separates due to differences.
"This song tells a story about a relationship that has different directions. At first, it seems like this relationship is heading in the same direction, but in the end, it separates because of different goals in the relationship," said Bayu Adiputra, the vocalist of Soulvibe, when contacted on Tuesday (14/12/2021).
Bayu, as the vocalist, explained the inspiration behind the creation of the new song titled Bukan Di Lagu Yang Sama (Not in the Same Song).
"The inspiration for creating the song comes from observing many things around that coexist or go hand in hand but do not align or end up at the same destination," said Bayu.
During the song-making process, there are definitely interesting things that are done. These interesting things are told by Handy, the bassist of Soulvibe.
"There are so many interesting things in the creative process, from rearranging the arrangement twice, and it's not easy to find the arrangement concept for this song, but once we found the concept, the recording process was very fast because we all felt comfortable and liked this arrangement," Handy said.
"And for the first time in a Soulvibe song, there are 2 guitarists playing the guitar, Devinza and Asa. As for the bass recording process, I happened to do it in one take because in the first bass recording, there were already many bass fills that we agreed on, so it was taken directly," he added.
Meanwhile, this story is also added by Caesar, the drummer of Soulvibe, regarding the sound of their latest song.
"The analog and digital synthesizer sounds from the 1980s era are the dominant instrumental elements in the arrangement of this song, both melodically and rhythmically. The drum track was recorded live with 'Gated Reverb' effect, inspired by the popular drum sounds in many New Wave and Synth Pop music recordings from the 1980s," Caesar added.
