Mariah Carey Wants to Concert in Indonesia, Melanie Subono Talks About the Diva's Riders Going Viral

Without a doubt, Melanie referred to Mariah Carey as the most annoying foreign artist she has ever dealt with. And all of that is because of one thing: flowers.

According to Melanie, the riders or requests list of Mariah Carey is truly out of the box. It's not just an ordinary list, but written like a story with super specific instructions.

"Her riders are in the form of storytelling, like 'Enter this room, then look to the right at a certain degree there must be a table with a vase of this type of flower, this color, and by this time the writing must be changed'," revealed Melanie.

Not only that, Mariah also requests flowers in every room, complete with vases and flower pots according to her request. What makes one shake their head is that everything must be prepared on time and with a high level of detail. "Flowers are expensive, and she wants everything to be very detailed. Even the vases are arranged," continued Melanie.

The most emotional part, said Melanie, was Mariah Carey's confession about the flowers themselves. "She called me to her room, then asked about those flowers. Then she said that she was allergic to flowers! So why did you ask for flowers?" Melanie said while bitterly laughing at the memory of that moment.

Not only about the flowers, Melanie was also asked by Mariah to take care of her suite room during her time in Jakarta. She even had to sit in front of the room all night just to change the flowers according to schedule. "I didn’t sleep, just sat on the bench in front of the room," she said.

What was even more frustrating, Mariah also requested that her fan club be arranged to always be present and welcome her at every location. But when the crowd appeared, it was actually Melanie who was accused of leaking the diva's location.

"Even though she was the one who told me to gather fans, when it got crowded, I was the one blamed. What can I do?" Melanie expressed, annoyed.

Although she is used to being an artist liaison for international artists, her experience with Mariah Carey is the most unforgettable for Melanie. In fact, she admitted she wouldn't want to be Mariah's liaison again, even if paid a lot.
