Moldy and Ian Radja Speak Out About Vadel Badjideh: Don't Force Radja to Take Down the Work!

Vadel, who was previously involved in the song project Apa Sih, requested the song to be removed because he felt unappreciated. He mentioned a monkey sticker that he considered degrading and highlighted that his vocals were not included despite having practiced.

In response to this, Moldy Radja expressed his disappointment towards Vadel's actions. Moldy stated that Vadel should be grateful, rather than creating new problems.

“That's why I responded to Vadel's video yesterday. I reacted. Vadel, Vadel, you are not grateful. You are currently in a case, don’t create a new case with Radja, because we are here inviting Vadel for a work, not for a case,” said Moldy when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Sunday (29/12/2024).

1. Vadel's Request Considered Baseless

He also emphasized that Vadel's request to take down the work has no basis. Moldy reminded that the rights to the work do not belong to Vadel.

“But he is actually creating a new case, so don’t force Radja to cut this work. Being told to take it down and so on, that is not Vadel's right. That is the domain of someone else's work,” Moldy added.

2. Actions to be Taken by Radja

On the other hand, Ian Kasela also responded to Vadel's statement. He mentioned that Radja always tries to avoid the legal realm, but if the situation continues, it is not impossible that it will be faced seriously.

“If we really see together later, if this does have or is already hinting at a legal realm, we will try to avoid the legal realm. We don’t want to deal with the law,” Ian clarified.

3. Have Acted Wisely

Ian also emphasized that as a senior, he has tried to act wisely in facing this problem. However, if Vadel continues to provoke conflict, Radja will not remain silent.

“If there are indeed laws or whatnot, maybe we will respond. But if it’s still just shouting, and it’s not clear what it is, then in my opinion, I think I have been wise enough. As someone who is more senior than Vadel, I think I have been wise enough,” Ian stated firmly.

4. Considered Unfair If Required to Remove the Music Video

Meanwhile, Moldy highlighted Vadel's approach, which is deemed inappropriate in conveying his request. According to Moldy, forcing Radja to remove the music video is an unfair action and does not respect the work produced.

“He asked to take it down, to delete our music video, right? That’s not how you judge someone. And then forcing to delete our work, you know. Our work, even if it’s attacked by netizens who don’t like us, that’s their right, but Vadel shouldn’t join in the attack,” Moldy said firmly.

5. Do Not Want to Create Sensation and Conflict

Moldy also emphasized that Radja's goal is to create and entertain, not to create sensation or conflict. He asked Vadel to understand their position as musicians focused on their work, not gossip.

“By asking to take down the video that we have released, because our goal here is to entertain, not to seek other profits. Because Radja is about creating, not making, well, gossip,” Moldy concluded.
