'More Than My Ego' Huge Success, Mawar de Jongh Ready to Make People Heartbroken with 'Sedang Sayang-Sayangnya'

Now, Mawar de Jongh is ready to make music enthusiasts heartbroken with her new single titled Sedang Sayang-Sayangnya. The song, written by Raguel Lewy, tells the story of someone who was dumped by their lover when they were deeply in love.

Interestingly, Mawar de Jongh doesn't really relate to the stories of the songs she sings, including the song 'Sedang Sayang-Sayangnya'. However, through her emotional expression when singing, she wants the feelings conveyed to be accepted by the listeners.

"You could say I don't relate to some of the stories in the songs I've sung. But I'm happy, it means they feel the energy of the song that makes them sad," said Mawar when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (5/3).

"Actually, the biggest achievement for me is not about numbers, but seeing people happy and feeling represented by the song. Hopefully, this third song can represent the feelings of many people," continued the 18-year-old girl.

Because her second single was a huge success, not to mention receiving positive reviews for her acting in her latest film, Mawar de Jongh is called a mellow woman. She doesn't mind the nickname given by the public.

"If there are people who build my image as a mellow woman because of my roles in films and the songs I sing, actually it's something I can't control. In my opinion, this Mawar is different from the Mawar in the film or songs," she said.
