New Single Release, Bagas HP Collaborates with a Singer from South Korea

Kapanlagi.com - Bagas Herdianto Purwoko, a young singer from Salatiga, also known as Bagas HP, has released a new single. He collaborated with a singer from South Korea, Masong.

Under the GNP Music label, their song titled Not Too Lonely was released and is now available on various digital music platforms since June 4, and the official Music Video is also available on the GNP Enterpriseya Youtube Channel. Unlike Bagas HP's previous songs which had a full acoustic guitar vibe, this song has an R&B Pop vibe with an acoustic touch.

1. Love Song

This song was written by Arvin Dakho, Bagas HP, and Masong. Still taking the theme of love, this song tells the story of a long-distance relationship (between countries). Although they have their own busy lives and sometimes feel lonely, they realize that they can still communicate with each other even if it's only through their phones. Interestingly, this song was written in English and Korean.

"The song that the three of us, including me, Arvin Dakho, and Jin Hyang (Masong), wrote was intentionally made with R&B Pop genre. Personally, I am exploring the world of music more deeply, so I tried this genre even though it cannot be separated from the guitar instrument," said Bagas.

Bagas never expected that he could collaborate with a singer from South Korea. It all started from casually covering Korean songs, and Bagas met Masong.

"At first, I just casually made a cover video of a Korean song with a native Korean, and unexpectedly, it turned out that we could create an original song together with a Korean person," he explained.

3. Masong From South Korea

A woman named Kwak Jin Hyang or known as MASONG ??, was born in Busan on April 5, 1997. She started her singing career by regularly uploading cover song videos on her YouTube channel. Masong is currently active as a singing host or BJ ?? in Afreeca TV in Korea. From there, she began to gain listeners who always give supportive energy to her. She also wants her singing style to attract the attention of those who listen to it.

Hailing from Seoul, South Korea, Masong can be considered as a relatively new singer in the music industry. The song Not Too Lonely is her first release or debut in the music industry, collaborating with young Indonesian singer, Bagas HP. Her stage name, Masong, is taken from the English word “My Song” or “Masung” in Korean, which means attractive.

"I have felt that singing is my hobby since I was a child, and when I sing, I feel like all the burdens in my mind can disappear," said Masong during a virtual interview.
