Not Gita Gutawa, Donnie Sibarani Invites Aura to Sing 'Yang Terbaik Bagimu' Again

Kapanlagi.com - Donnie Cahyadi Sibarani, former vocalist of Ada Band, re-released the single 'Yang Terbaik Bagimu'. This time, Donnie did not duet with Gita Gutawa, but with a young singer named Aura.

"Honestly, Aura's talent is extraordinary," said Donnie Sibarani when met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, recently.

Donnie explained that he met Aura when visiting one of his relatives, Widya, in Batam. Aura herself is Widya's daughter.

"The journey of meeting Aura, you could say God has created it, actually accidentally, coincidentally through a job," said Donnie Sibarani.

"At that time, Kak Widya wanted to do a concert. Before the concert, I went to Kak Widya's house," Donnie Sibarani added.

Donnie saw Aura's singing talent from his visit. At that time, Donnie did karaoke at Widya's house and eventually her mother asked him to duet with her child.

"When I was karaokeing at Kak Widya's house, coincidentally Aura was there, and then she sang. When Aura started singing, I was immediately surprised, she was really good," said Donnie Sibarani.

Finally, Donnie agreed to recycle his old band's song with Aura. However, of course, the falsetto technique that is usually heard in the single 'Yang Terbaik Bagimu' will not be heard in the new version of the song, because Donnie made a new adjustment with Aura's more natural voice color.

"So, the tones are still different, but without shifting the meaning of the song," said Donnie Sibarani.

The reason for choosing that single is because it coincides with the moment to celebrate Father's Day, which is celebrated every November.

"If I may say, songs about fathers can be counted, right?" Donnie concluded.
