This song is brought back by Bunga with a new and contemporary arrangement to suit the current young generation.
When met in Senayan area, South Jakarta, on Friday afternoon (11/24), Tony Vially, the only remaining member of Bunga until now, announced the new formation of the band that cannot be separated from the late Galang Rambu Anarki. He also explained why Bunga emerged with new members.
"I am the only remaining member. Yes, this is the final formation of Bunga. Why new friends? Because there are other commitments from the old friends. So I have to take this to move forward," said Tony Vially.
He also said that keeping the flower alive is the testament of the late Galang Rambu Anarki before he passed away. Tonny also briefly mentioned how the late Galang entrusted him with this mandate.
"Because this is a trust. The late Galang said, 'Ton, you take care of this Band.' At that time, I thought, 'What is this? It's late at night.' It turns out that three days later, the late Galang passed away," he said.
"Because I feel that there is a trust, I have to walk alone, and with the help of these friends," he continued.
In addition, although they are present with new arrangements and formations, Tony emphasized that Bunga still maintains its main characteristic. However, there are some adjustments to ensure that Bunga's songs find a place in the hearts of the general public.
"Not much, the piano key is still there. It's just played with a different sound. The singing is performed slightly differently," he explained.
"It's just about how both old and new people can enjoy it. I think about how the current generation can enjoy it without changing it," he concluded.
