Present in the Indonesian Music Industry, Anarcute Conveys a Message of Never Giving Up through the World Has Not Ended

Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian music industry is once again welcoming a new band. Yes, Anarcute is here with the Pop Punk genre. The arrival of Anarcute is proof that the hashtag 'make pop punk great again' is not just a mere word.

Anarcute is led by three well-known YouTube content creators. They are Kery Astina (vocals, bass), Hafizh Joys (guitar), and Nobita (drums). Initially, Kery, Nobita, and several YouTube creators tried to form a band with the same vision. However, due to busy schedules, the band was left with Kery and Nobita. After several searches, they met Hafizh.

"Initially, this band consisted of me (Kery), Nobita, and several YouTube creators. The concept was to have video creators 'upgrade' to musicians. But because it was difficult to manage schedules, it ended up with just me and Nobita. So, we searched on the internet, looked at YouTube and others, but everyone already had a band. Finally, we found Hafizh Joys' channel. Eventually, the three of us created a WhatsApp group and shared songs with each other," said Kery.

1. Formed in October 2019

Anarcute was formed in October 2019. Its name itself is a combination of two contrasting words. Playing loud music, Anarcute softens it with simple and easily absorbed lyrics.

"Anarcute is a combination of the words anarchy and cute. Anarchy is more punk. But to not be too punk, we added the word cute for its pop element," said Kery.

As a weapon to fight in the Indonesian music industry, Anarcute released a single titled Dunia Belum Berakhir (The World Has Not Ended Yet). This song carries an interesting message for everyone to not easily give up in any condition.

"It's about someone who has been trying but hasn't succeeded yet and still hasn't given up. This song can also be a reminder for us to believe in what we fight for and fight for what we believe in," said Kery.

2. Do Not Extinguish the Spirit

The difference in domicile between the three personnel apparently does not extinguish Anarcute's spirit to produce a work. The similarity of vision and mission to make music keeps them confident in what they are doing. Anarcute tries to achieve their dreams one by one, from releasing singles to albums. And of course, realizing the hashtag 'make pop punk great again,' the music they love.

"Our goal in the near future is definitely to release songs one by one and end up with an album that is accepted by many people," said Kery.

This song, 'Dunia Belum Berakhir,' was released on Friday, March 5, 2021, at 00:00 WIB on all music streaming services, and at 18:00 WIB, its Official Music video can already be watched on ANARCUTE's Youtube Channel.
