Produced by Ruri Repvblik, K13N Band is Ready to Compete with the Single 'Merelakanmu'

Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian music scene is once again enlivened by the presence of a music group called K13N Band. Through their debut single titled Merelakanmu, K13N, led by Chikkin Muhammad (vocals/guitar), Rahman (Bass), Gie (Guitar/Piano), and Erdin (drums), is ready to compete with the musical genre they bring, which is alternative pop.

Moreover, K13N is produced by Ruri, the vocalist and musician who has been involved in the music industry for a long time and is famous for his works with Repvblik. Tyar, the keyboardist of Rapvblik, also contributed as the arranger for this single, MERELAKANMU. 

"The story of the song is indeed a true story of what I have experienced, a real story that I poured into this work because I prefer to write songs based on reality and there are also some fictional elements because of market demands. MERELAKANMU was chosen from 30 songs that we submitted to Ruri, and it became our first single. This song is more about love in general, a love involving three people where one is being replaced and has to let go of their partner to be with someone else," said Chikkin Muhammad, recently. 

1. K13N Band Not Newcomers

Besides that, on their own music stage, the personnel of K13N are not newcomers. They have previously performed at several music festivals, but with a different band name. K13N itself was formed on October 27, 2019.

"Although it is newly formed, the members have been involved in the music world for a long time. K13N, simply taken from my last name, Kin. I searched on Google and found out that Kin means family, friend, companion, relative, and I formed this band with the intention of being like siblings who share one vision. The addition of E and the number 13 in the name represents our label, 13 Nadi Musik," said Chikkin Muhammad.

2. Release of the Song 'Merelakanmu'

Merelakanmu, officially released in the music market on January 31, 2020, along with its music video. Ruri, as the producer, believes that the song Merelakanmu by K13N can be accepted in the Indonesian music market.

"In my opinion, K13N is one of the bands that represents the many bands competing in the Indonesian music industry. I am very confident that K13N can be accepted in the music industry of the homeland because K13N is a band with character and a vocalist with a melodious and special voice. So, I believe K13N has a place among Indonesian music lovers," said Ruri optimistically.
