Iqbaal Ramadhan Affirms Svmmerdose Has Not Looked for a New Guitarist

Kapanlagi.com - Since its formation, the band Svmmerdose has only released one album titled She/Her/Hers in 2019. At that time, Svmmerdose consisted of three young members, namely Abbydzar (guitar), Rinrin (vocals and guitar), and Iqbaal Ramadhan (bass).

Unfortunately, in October of last year, Abbydzar, the guitarist, left Svmmerdose. Now, the band formed in 2017 only has two members left, namely Rinrin (vocals and guitar), and Iqbaal Ramadhan (bass).

Until now, Svmmerdose has no plans to find a new guitarist to replace Abbydzar. According to Iqbaal Ramadhan, Svmmerdose still feels comfortable with just two members. That's why Svmmerdose doesn't want to look for a new guitarist.

"Actually, until today, there is no reason to look for a new person. Until now, we can still handle it ourselves. We have friends who help us too. Until today, there is no reason to add personnel," said Iqbaal at The Pallas, Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Friday (17/1/2020).

1. First Album Release

In August 2019, Svmmerdose released their first album called She/Her/Hers. Previously, within the past year, Svmmerdose has also released two singles, Crush and Break My Walls. The album She/Her/Hers contains 10 songs.

Starting from Stockholm, A.M, Break My Walls, Self Love, I H8 You, Bullet in the Ashtray, to Independent. In this album, Svmmerdose appointed Janitra Satria as the producer and Zidny Lathifa as the creative director.

"Our album was released in August last year. At the beginning of making the album, we had already created material that we had not recorded and arranged. Why the name She/Her/Hers was chosen is because it was seen from the storyline that talked a lot about girls. The name was chosen by Iqbaal," said Rinrin.

For Iqbaal, the album She/Her/Hers is considered as the essence of young people who are growing up.

"Our album is about the search for teenage identity and the transitions they experience as they grow up. This is also related to the album's name. At our age, we don't know the answers. Because we don't know what we can offer to others," said Iqbaal.

Interestingly, Svmmerdose's debut album immediately received a response from their fans. Seeing this response, Iqbaal and Rinrin plan to have a tour in several cities in Indonesia. This tour is a form of gratitude from Svmmerdose to their fans.

3. Don't Fall In Love With Me Tour 2020

Titled 'Don't Fall In Love With Me Tour 2020', it was created at the request of Svmmerdose's two members, Iqbaal (bassist) and Rinrin (vocal & guitar), who wanted to meet their fans in various cities in Indonesia. Furthermore, Svmmerdose's debut album titled She/Her/Hers received a positive response from their fans.

"Considering that we had frequently released singles before finally daring to release an album. Then, we only performed a few times and received a lot of feedback from listeners who wanted to hear the live version of the album She/Her/Hers. We thought that 2020 was the right year to hold a tour and meet people outside the city," Rinrin concluded.

The Svmmerdose tour titled 'Don't Fall In Love With Me Tour 2020' began in Jakarta (February 15th), followed by Malang (February 18th), Surabaya (February 19th), Yogyakarta (February 21st), Semarang (February 22nd), and Bandung (February 24th).

This tour concert is promoted by Neutron Live (Jakarta) and Brima Live (Outside Jakarta). As for ticket prices, the organizers set the price at Rp. 250,000 (including tax) for Jakarta. Meanwhile, in other cities, the ticket price is Rp. 110,000 (including tax).
