Rahmania Astrini's 'Adolescent' Mini Album Receives Response from Foreign Audience

Kapanlagi.com - After releasing several singles, the beautiful singer Rahmania Atrini finally released a mini album titled Adolescent under the Warner Music Indonesia label. The Adolescent album contains six songs, all of which are in English.

In the Adolescent album, three previously released songs were included, namely Finally Found You, Runaway, and Shush. Then, the other three songs are Baby, Pretty Like You, and Take Me Home. What makes this Adolescent album even more special is that Rahmania Astrini collaborated with a duo from the Philippines, namely Leanne & Naara in the song Baby and Monica Karina in Pretty Like You.

"I'm really happy and relieved. Because finally, after waiting for a long time, I can release something that I really enjoy the process of. Hopefully, Adolescent can fill the emptiness of many people's days and become an entertainer as well as a companion for many people," said Rahmania Astrini in a virtual press conference on Wednesday (17/2/2021).

1. It Takes 9 Months

It took Rahmania Astrini nine months to complete the album Adolescent. Due to being worked on during the Covid-19 pandemic, all the songs on the Adolescent album were done online.

"If I remember correctly, it was 9 months, starting from March last year, around 9 months, 10 weeks. It's like a baby being born after 9 months. So, this is my first EP, so I remember every detail of the process. I worked on this during the pandemic, everything was done online," said the singer born in the US.

2. Challenges Faced

It is not easy to work on an album during a pandemic, and Rahmania Astrini seemed to be troubled because it was done online. Moreover, in the Adolescent album, there is a song by Rahmania Astrini that collaborates with other singers.

"There were incidents of interrupted connections, and there were moments during the photoshoot where the signal was bad, resulting in poor photos," she said.

3. Extraordinary Welcome

Meanwhile, according to Managing Director of Warner Music Indonesia, Toto Widjojo, the songs in the Adolescent album received an extraordinary welcome.

"In addition, there is a platform that can be reached to other countries. We consider this as an opportunity for us to bring the songs outside of Indonesia. My hope is that Rahmania's song can be enjoyed by everyone, as many comments and responses have come from outside of Indonesia," said Toto.

The Adolescent album is designed to capture various stories about growing up and record things that are closest to the heart. This mini album concept by Astrini collaborates with the best names and talents. For example, Mr. Fantastic for the song Runaway and Toby Gad for the song Shush.

4. Productive in the Pandemic
