Kapanlagi.com - Raissa Ramadhani is back with her latest work through her fifth single titled "Longing that Tortures." In this song, Raissa raises the painful theme of loving someone but only being felt by one party.
According to Raissa, this single is very relevant to the love stories of many young people who experience loneliness in their relationships. Raissa admitted that the inspiration for this song came from stories she often read in the comment sections of her social media.
"I often read comments on my TikTok, and someone shared that their relationship has been long, but the enthusiasm is only from themselves," she explained.
This song tells the story of someone who struggles to maintain a relationship, but eventually becomes exhausted because their partner seems indifferent. Created by Harry Budiman, Husin Rheza Asegaf, Sudrajat, Yafi Aria, and Danurseto Bramana Adhi, this song was chosen by the A&R team of Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI) because it was deemed suitable for Raissa's vocal character.
"Coincidentally, this song was also created by Mas Rheza, who previously wrote my debut song, 'Parting is More Beautiful,'" Raissa revealed.
Raissa feels happy that this song was finally chosen as her latest single. She mentioned that there were unique challenges in the process of working on this song, especially in terms of lyrics and vocal technique.
"When I received this song, everything was actually already good, but I and the Sony Music team worked on it again to perfect it so that it feels closer to the listeners," she said.

She mentioned that this song contains very honest lyrics about the pain of loving alone in a relationship. Since starting her career with SMEI in 2022, Raissa feels she has experienced significant growth as a singer. She continues to refine her vocal technique to make it stronger.
"I have become bolder in expressing myself while singing so that my vocal character is more pronounced," said Raissa.
She is grateful for the many first experiences she has had since joining the label, including achieving one million streams and the opportunity to contribute to a movie soundtrack. Currently, Raissa is preparing her debut album, which she hopes to release next year.
"Please pray that this album can be completed and heard by everyone in Indonesia," she said.
As a graduate of the London School of Public Relations (LSPR), Raissa expressed her desire to receive feedback from listeners regarding her new single.
"I would be happy if you could provide your responses via DM on Instagram," she said.
She hopes that her songs can be a source of comfort for anyone who listens to them. The single "Longing that Tortures" can be listened to on various digital music platforms starting November 15, 2024. Raissa hopes this single can represent the feelings of those who experience similar situations in love and remain a source of strength for those who feel it.
