Kapanlagi.com - After being busy with preparations for her debut as a film actor, which caused her to take a hiatus from the music world, Prinsa Mandagie finally returns with her latest work titled ‘Coba Jadi Aku’. What’s even more special is that this comeback single from Prinsa is also packaged in the form of a short film with the same title.
"Many people know Prinsa Mandagie initially as the soundtrack singer for ‘Layangan Putus’, and then I also debuted as an actress in the film ‘Jurnal Risa’, so I thought, why not try to combine these two things into a single work,” Prinsa shared while revealing the reason behind the release of this single along with its short film.
‘Coba Jadi Aku’ itself tells the story of a child’s heartbreak who carries childhood trauma into adulthood. Written by Clara Riva, this song also involves many parties in its production process. Among them, S/EKE as Producer, Vocal Engineering by Yusuf Albantani, Vocal Director and Vocal Producer by Barsena Bestandhi.

Meanwhile, the Mixing and Mastering process is done by Dimas Pradipta. In the meantime, in the making of the short film 'Try From Me', Prinsa was directly involved both as a cast and as the creator of the story.
"The idea for the short film actually came from me, which was then developed by the director, Mas Prabu Genta," Prinsa revealed.
"Besides being the one who came up with the idea for the short film, I am also involved as a cast in this film," she continued.

The short film 'Try to Be Me' seems to serve as a complement to its own single. Indeed, Prinsa tries to narrate what she wants to express in this single in detail through her short film. Not stopping there, Prinsa also wants her listeners to share their experiences and stories that relate to 'Try to Be Me' through social media activities with the hashtag #TryToBeMe.
"I want to hear the #TryToBeMe stories from my friends on social media, so I created the #TryToBeMe content to gather their stories," said Prinsa.
Prinsa hopes that the single 'Try to Be Me' will be a companion for those who may be struggling to forgive their childhood trauma, and she hopes that her music fans do not feel alone. "We must believe that when we forgive, all the steps we take will feel more sincere. A hug from afar," Prinsa concluded.
