Kapanlagi.com - At the end of 2024, Mahen finally launched his latest work. Under the label Indo Semar Record, Mahen officially released the EP titled After You Leave.
In this EP, Mahen offers five songs that blend his melodious and soulful voice. The five songs are Choosing to Stop, After You Leave, Bottling Up Feelings, Untitled23, and The End of Life. Each song has its own unique story, which comes together in a journey of love.
The EP After You Leave tells the love journey of a person in five acts. Mahen narrates how each stage in the love story unfolds: starting from patience reaching its limit, opening the heart only to be separated by fate, to feelings of affection that must be suppressed. It continues to the phase of surrender due to repeated failures, but eventually finds true love after a long wait.
Scheduled for official release on November 8, 2024, Mahen admits that the launch of this EP is a form of satisfaction in his creativity. Each song in this EP narrates a love story with different dynamics, which he hopes will touch the hearts of his listeners.
“There are no other words but happy, really happy to be able to create again. I hope it can be widely heard and definitely relatable to the story. I’m just really happy to have this opportunity again,” said Mahen.

This EP also marks an important milestone in Mahen's career journey in the Indonesian music industry. Mahen emphasizes that each song is interconnected, forming a complete story with a little happy plot twist at the end.
“Each song is a continuation of a story, and there’s a little plot twist where there is happiness at the end of this EP. I hope it can happen in real life, I hope it won’t be gloomy forever,” he said.

“I have my thoughts because in this EP I was directly involved in the process. I hope the series from this EP truly reflects someone's mood, whoever that may be. I hope this EP can be well received,” he concluded.
