Release of 'Langit Biru' and Collaboration with Fanny Soegi, Padi Reborn: This is a Gift for Padi's Friends

Kapanlagi.com - Padi Reborn has released their latest work. This time, the band from Surabaya released a single titled Langit Biru on May 31, 2024. Interestingly, in the song Langit Biru, Padi Reborn collaborated with one of the rising soloists, Fanny Soegi.

In a press conference at XXI Lounge, Plaza Senayan, on Friday (31/5), Fadly expressed his gratitude to everyone who has supported Padi Reborn until now, including their fans, Padi's Friends.

"Thank you to everyone, especially Padi's Friends. Langit Biru is a work that Padi's Friends have been waiting for. This is a gift for Padi's Friends," said Fadly.

1. Song Full of Hope

Langit Biru (Blue Sky) is a creation by Piyu and Fadly since 2020 when the Covid 19 pandemic struck the entire world. This song contains hope, motivation, and also about building positive energy for many people.

"This song was designed during the time of Covid. At that time, everyone experienced the same thing. But at the same time, we saw that the sky was so blue," explained Piyu.

"We saw it as a hope. Just like the story in this song. There is someone who is heartbroken because they were left behind by their true story, but they see hope in their future life," he continued.

2. Originally Not Planned for a Duet

Langit Biru was initially not planned to be sung as a duet. But in the process, Padi Reborn felt that something was missing if this song was sung by Fadly alone. Fadly and the others were interested in collaborating with Fanny Soegi after hearing the popular song Asmalibrasi sung by Fanny Soegi, who was still with her band at that time.

"If I sing this song alone, it's just ordinary. This song needs more character from other musicians. We have heard many musicians, but when we heard Asmalibrasi, wow, her voice is really good. It seems exciting if we collaborate," explained Fadly.

"We see that Fanny has a kind of aura that strengthens this song," added Piyu.

3. Mother Fanny Soegi Idolizes Padi

Meanwhile, Fanny Soegi feels honored to collaborate with Padi Reborn. Interestingly, Padi Reborn, especially Piyu, is the idol of Fanny Soegi's mother. The spirit given by her mother becomes the strength for Fanny Soegi to collaborate with Padi Reborn.

"Actually, the fun fact is that my mother likes Padi. When I was first offered, I immediately told my mother. At first, I felt overthinking, wondering if I am suitable to stand here. But at that time, my mother said I have to believe in myself and feel deserving to be here," said Fanny Soegi.
