Release of Music Video 'Tampar', Juicy Luicy Collaborates with Athlete Rengga Raphael Richard

They recently released a single titled Tampar. Not long after, the music video for the single was also released. Directed by Ishdam Atrahadena, the Tampar music video depicts a man who is boxing in a warehouse.

The man is played by Indonesian Brazilian Jiujitsu athlete, Rengga Raphael Richard (@renggo). Rengga himself represented Indonesia at the 2019 SEA GAMES and won a silver medal for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

The video clip shows Rengga practicing alone. However, a female training partner accompanies him afterwards. The woman is played by Aghniny Haque (@aghninyhaque), a former Taekwondo athlete who once ranked 6th in the world.

Aghniny Haque is also known for the films she has starred in, such as PEREMPUAN TANAH JAHANAM, GENI 212, HABIBIE & AINUN 3, and WIRO SABLENG.

2. Representing the Current Generation

This song can be said to be very relatable to the current generation. Tampar tells the story of people who wait for love until negative expectations arise, such as hoping their crush will break up with their partner.

In those moments, someone often needs to be slapped. This is what Juicy Luicy tries to express through this single.

3. Easy Listening

Consistent with Juicy Luicy's previous songs, the song Tampar is very easy listening and up-to-date. Tampar seems to voice the feelings of everyone who still hopes or expects to get the love of someone who already has a partner.
