Release of Single 'Sudahlah', Ear Sun Also Collaborates with Azizah Salsha as Video Clip Model

Kapanlagi.com - Last Friday (28/6), Indonesian male singer Ear Sun released his latest song titled Sudahlah on all music streaming platforms. Not stopping there, the release was accompanied by a lyrics video that could be watched on Ear Sun's Youtube channel on the same day.

As a song, Sudahlah encompasses the problems faced by a person growing up and finding self-actualization, especially in their career. Of course, this song originates from the restlessness felt by most of us in the process of finding an ideal career.

To ensure that the essence of the song's message is delivered clearly, Sudahlah was released in the form of a lyrics video, with footage taken in three European countries, namely Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. Collaborating with influencer Azizah Salsha, the music video for Sudahlah was produced over a total of ten days.

“We shot it together with Titik Sembilan Production House, with Azizah Salsha as the model in the music video. We spent ten days in Switzerland, Austria, and Italy,” said Ear Sun.

Furthermore, Ear Sun explained that Azizah Salsha is the central character in the music video Sudahlah nanti. "The story is that Azizah is an Indonesian citizen living in Europe and is having difficulty finding a job because the competition there is even tougher," said Ear Sun.

This is not the first time Ear Sun has collaborated with a famous influencer. Previously, Ear Sun released a music video titled Terserah and featured Fuji as the main model in the video.

Several top tourist destinations in the three countries then became the backdrop for the scenes in the music video. One of them is the rural setting in Grinderwald to the peak of Jungfraujoch, Switzerland.

"In the music video, we also involve local residents in Europe, for example, for the roles of Azizah's friends during the scenes in Venice, Italy, or when Azizah gets the idea to build an Indonesian restaurant. So this project is something we take seriously, where the talent involved is not only Indonesian but also local residents," added Ear Sun.

Regarding the collaboration with Titik Sembilan Production House, Ear Sun acknowledged that it was not without reason. Storytelling is the key that Ear Sun wants to achieve in order to produce a music video that aligns with the message of the song Sudahlah.

"This is the fifth time I have collaborated with the Titik Sembilan team. Because this team is indeed skilled in storytelling, we not only sell the beauty of the scenery, but also tell a story about the difficulty of finding a job," concluded Ear Sun.

2. Collaboration with Kinar Sekar

Written collaboratively by Ear Sun and Kinar Sekar, the song Sudahlah is filled with motivational lyrics, especially for those who are job seekers and their life experiences.

“With this song, the meaning of 'Sudahlah' is actually to encourage job seekers. What we want to convey is not to give up, but when you hear the song, or the lyrics, we still have hope that everything will be better as long as we continue to improve our competence and make efforts,” explained Ear Sun.

Furthermore, Ear Sun explained that the song Sudahlah was actually written long before the issue of '10 Million Unemployed Gen-Z' became popular on the internet.

“It was way before that (the issue of 10 Million Unemployed Gen-Z). The trigger was actually from life experiences. Have you ever experienced job hunting? Especially when you just graduated from college, as a fresh graduate, how was it when you spent six months looking for a job. It has always been difficult to find a job,” shared Ear Sun.

From these personal life experiences, Ear Sun poured them into the lyrics of the song: “malu malu malu, bagaikan benalu, berharap berlalu,” for example, or “doa terwujud kelak, peluk dirimu erat, dan percayalah.”

“It really reflects my condition at that time. When I had just graduated from college, I thought I could immediately get a job, get paid, but the reality was not as beautiful as that.” What exists is just staying at home, because there is no money, then feeling embarrassed, feeling like a parasite, all those feelings are in the lyrics of the song 'Sudahlah'," said the man who also works as a career coach.

Although Sudahlah contains personal stories from Ear Sun's life journey, he still adds motivational and self-confidence words for the listeners in this song.

3. First Song, Debut Album

Even more special because Sudahlah is also the first release from the highly anticipated debut album by Ear Sun. This debut album is planned to be released this year and is named Nyala.

“In this album, we delve more into gen-z issues, there's a song about job searching like in Sudahlah, there's also the issue of quarter life crisis, then there's a story about weight, and even about pet cats,” said Ear Sun at length.

The music carried in this album is still in line with the EP Urbanisme released late last year. Ear Sun still plays in the corridor of festive pop jazz, yet personal for each listener. If all goes according to plan, Ear Sun targets to release the album in October 2024.
