Release 'Thousand Hugs', Raissa Ramadhani Remembers Her Late Mother

Kapanlagi.com - Young soloist Raissa Ramadhani has released a new single. The song titled Thousand Hugs is the third single from this singer born on December 5, 2000. The song, created by Tenty Kamal and Choki Cassandra, immediately reminds Raissa of her late mother.

Initially, when she received this song, Raissa did not feel that this song was so deep and emotional. Only when she was recording, Raissa felt that this song was very appropriate with her feelings of remembering her late mother.

"My third song is titled Thousand Hugs, about longing for someone who has gone forever. Initially, when I received this song, my thoughts did not go there. Only after the recording, I was asked about my impression of this song by Mbak Tenty and Mas Choki. I said that during the recording, this song kept reminding me of my late mother. Then, when it was listened to again, everyone agreed," Raissa explained.

1. Smooth Production Process

The song preparation process, from workshop to demo and recording, took about two months. There were no significant obstacles for Raissa in working on this song. Good collaboration between the singer, Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI), and the songwriter made the whole process run smoothly.

"There were no major difficulties. Perhaps, only in the music part, it needed to be changed a few times because the Sony Music A&R Team wanted to deliver the best final result. Aside from that, everything went smoothly. Maybe, this was because I love the song and the meaning contained in Seribu Pelukan, so when I sing it, I put more soul into it," said Raissa.

"Mbak Tenty and Mas Choki were also very helpful during the production process because they were willing to accept input from me and the Sony Music team. It can be said that our exchange of ideas went well because our goal was the same: to create a work that could be accepted by many people," she continued.

2. Shooting Music Video in Yogyakarta

The music video for Seribu Pelukan has also been prepared. Raissa and the team conducted the shooting process in Yogyakarta. Choosing Yogyakarta as the location for making the music video also felt appropriate with the mood of the song Seribu Pelukan.

"With the hope of conveying the message in this song, we maximize the visualization of the music video by shooting in Yogya. Why Yogya? In terms of setting and mood, I feel that Yogya is a calm city like our depiction of a mother figure who can always make us calm," said Raissa.

3. Revealing Desire to Write Own Songs

After three singles, Raissa admitted that she learned a lot, especially about songwriting. She hopes that in the next single, she can present a song of her own creation.

"Currently, I already have several songs in draft, but they still need to be polished to be worthy of release and can be listened to by the public," she said.

While waiting for that opportunity to come, she expressed her hopes for the single Seribu Pelukan. "Of course, I want this song to be well-received; representing the feelings of those who miss their loved ones but can only convey it through prayers; and being a companion when loneliness arises when grief strikes," Raissa concluded.

Raissa Ramadhani's latest single, Seribu Pelukan, can be heard on digital music platforms starting October 13, 2023.
