ST12 Collaborates with Popular Malaysian Singer in Their New Song 'Tak Kunjung Usai'

Kapanlagi.com - ST12 has released a new work in the Indonesian music industry. However, this time there's something different, as Pepep CS collaborates with renowned Malaysian singer, Hazama, in their latest single titled 'Tak Kunjung Usai'.

The collaboration was initiated by the Malaysian label, Luncai Emas, and PT. Suara Media, a Singaporean company that invests in talent and creative content in the ASEAN region. ST12 frontman, Ilham Febri alias Pepep, stated that the collaboration project had been planned for a long time.

"Almost 9 months ago, with various stories, until now," said Pepep when met in the Mega Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/5).

1. No Difficulties Mean Anything

The song Harapan Tak Kunjung Usai tells the story of a woman who always compares her partner to her ex. Not far from the characteristic of previous ST12 songs, Pepep's latest work carries the Malay genre.

"That's why in the lyrics there is: I am me," he said.

In the same opportunity, Hazama admitted that it was not too difficult to collaborate with ST12. Because the personnel provide a clear and detailed description of the song. Therefore, he finds it easier to understand the message conveyed through the song.

"Bang Pepep has a very simple explanation. So, the process is easy," said Hazama briefly.

2. Expanding the Music Market of 2 Countries

President Director of Dua Suara Media, Sandy Monteiro, said that the collaboration is not only about bringing together two musicians from different countries. The collaboration is expected to expand the music market of both Indonesia and Malaysia.

"Hopefully, the collaboration between ST12 and Hazama can be accepted by music lovers from Indonesia and Malaysia," said Sandy.
