"LYLA's schedule until the end of this year is mostly at pensi. Since the release of the song Ga Romantis, we have been getting a lot of offers to perform at pensi, we are confused yet excited too, Alhamdulillah," said Dharma, the keyboardist of LYLA.

This phenomenon has made LYLA one of the most frequently featured bands at pensi events in recent months. They acknowledge that the re-launch of the song Ga Romantis has brought an incredible effect of audience regeneration. Now, LYLA's fans are predominantly high school students to college students who discovered the song through social media.

LYLA itself did not expect that the song, which was first released more than a decade ago, could still capture attention in the digital era.

"Maybe this is the effect of young people as social media users. The song Ga Romantis is liked again by high school and college students. As a result, LYLA is increasingly often invited to their events," said Fare, the guitarist of LYLA.

The song Ga Romantis was first created by Indra Sinaga, the first vocalist of LYLA, and released in their fifth album in 2014. Now, in 2025, the song has been revived with a new, more mature feel. This latest version features a distinctive touch from Ario Setiawan as the new vocalist of LYLA, replacing Naga who officially left in 2020.

2. Appreciate Other Musicians

In addition, the presence of talented musician from Bandung, Nissan Fortz, also adds a unique touch to the new version of this song. Nissan played a significant role in adding the banjo instrument, which makes the arrangement of the song sound fresher and richer.

"Nissan Fortz turned out to be the 'missing piece' in this song. In the previous version, it felt like something was lacking, but only in this version can we say that this song has found its perfection. The banjo instrument makes this song fresher than before," said Dharma LYLA.

3. Choose to Retain the Original Version

Although presented with a new vibe, LYLA chose to maintain the uniqueness of the original arrangement of Ga Romantis. According to them, major changes could actually diminish the strength of the song.

"We did try several new arrangements for this song, but the first version felt like it was already a complete package, the arrangement is very strong as a unity. So the idea of changing the arrangement felt like a gamble, in the end, we refined it from the sound and instrumental filling side," explained Fare LYLA.

Now, the latest version of the song Ga Romantis can be enjoyed on all digital music platforms, while the music video can be watched on the GMI Records YouTube Channel.

This song is also part of LYLA's sixth album titled Jamuan Musim Semi, which contains 12 songs with a fresh musical color that is ready to pamper their loyal listeners' ears.
