Sarah Deshita as the brand consultant of Ismaya Live, the promoter of We The Fest, explained that Lewis Capaldi canceled his performance due to health issues. Not only at We The Fest, Lewis Capaldi has also canceled his tour.

"So he has a health problem and indeed we were worried because he canceled many of his tours in Europe and America for 3 weeks. He said it's like 'ok, I'll be back for Glastonbury'," said Sarah Deshita when met in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (5/7/2023).

1. Cancel Tour Series

It turns out, Lewis Capaldi has also canceled his tour series and all his activities this year. Therefore, with a heavy heart, Lewis Capaldi has to announce the cancellation of his attendance at the We The Fest concert.

"His management decided that the schedule was too tight, so yesterday it was canceled globally, and he will stop performing for a while," Sarah added.

Sarah said that Lewis Capaldi has announced the cancellation of his stage performances, including the tour series since last week, through Instagram.

"About a week ago on his IG, there were all the events in the world featuring Lewis Capaldi. And from our side, we announced it," she said.

2. Who Will Replace Lewis Capaldi?

Meanwhile, the promoter has not yet confirmed which international musician will replace Lewis Capaldi's performance at We The Fest 2023.

"Just wait, hahaha. But we're still trying, hopefully in these three weeks, there will be good news," she concluded.

We The Fest 2023 will be held from July 21 to 23, 2023, at GBK Sports Complex Senayan, Central Jakarta. Dozens of local and international musicians are confirmed to enliven the event. For international acts, there are The Strokes, The 1975, The Kid Laroi, Daniel Caesar as headliners, as well as Alexander 23 and Dermot Kennedy.
