"Managing time, I had to sacrifice football first. So, football is kind of set aside for now, I focus on singing, focus on writing songs first," said Betrand Peto when met in Senayan, Monday (5/10/2025).

His seriousness in writing songs is starting to yield results. Onyo admits that he already has several songs ready to move into further production stages.

"I have prepared about two. So two songs that are already being processed. One is done, just one more left," he said.

When asked about the inspiration behind his songs, Onyo explained that his creative process often starts from a melody that appears spontaneously, followed by the lyrics.

"Oh, for that song, I just let it out. Like the lyrics, I first write the song from the melody, right? Like humming and stuff," he said.
"So suddenly a nice melody comes out, and then we slowly insert the lyrics," he continued.

Interestingly, Onyo does not deny that there is a touch of his personal story in the lyrics he writes. Although he does not elaborate further, he signals that listeners can find pieces of his story within the song.
"Yes, there is, there definitely is. Just wait for it," he said.
