Kapanlagi.com - Sad news has emerged from the DPR demonstration on Thursday (28/8) last week. Affan Kurniawan, an ojol driver involved in the demonstration, has died. Affan was previously run over by a Brimob Barracuda car.
The Chairman of the National Ojol Coalition, Andi Kristiyanto, confirmed the sad news.
"Yes, it's true. One person has died at RSCM, that was the Gojek driver who was run over by the Brimob Barracuda car earlier," reported Liputan6.com.
According to him, Affan passed away after slipping while attempting to cross amidst the chaos.
"Actually, there was this armored vehicle moving through the middle at this speed. It seems that the deceased wanted to cross from the left side to the right side, but slipped in the middle," he revealed.

"Slipped in the middle, ultimately getting run over like that. Now, when he was run over, that armored vehicle should have reversed, but it didn’t, probably because the crowd was also moving towards that vehicle, so eventually, the armored vehicle had no choice but to continue its journey," added Andi.
According to Denny Sumargo, who came to the hospital to strengthen the family of the deceased, Affan was the second child of three siblings.
"He is the second child of three siblings, he left behind his parents and two siblings, as far as I know, he was the backbone of his family, that’s what the information said," Denny wrote on his Instagram.
