Ngadas and Ranupani village residents are given permission to pass through the Bromo area as local residents. This was stated directly by Septi Eka Wardhani, Head of the Administration Division of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BB TNBTS).
"Access is only opened for residents of Ranupani Village, Lumajang Regency, and Ngadas Village, Malang Regency," said Septi on Monday (11/9).

The closure is carried out for the security of visitors. The closure is applied completely to all access to and through the National Park.
Coban Trisula in Malang Regency, Wonokitri in Pasuruan Regency, Cemorolawang in Probolinggo Regency, and Senduro in Lumajang Regency are all entrance access points to the Bromo area that are closed.
"The closure has been in effect since Sunday, September 10, 2023, starting at 19:00 WIB until an undetermined time," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, people who need to pass through the Malang-Lumajang route via Poncokusumo and Senduro are advised to find alternative routes.
