Bullying Victim in Malang Was Thrown onto Pavement and Tree, Still Traumatized Now

Kapanlagi.com - Victims of bullying that occurred at a school in Malang City are still traumatized and undergoing treatment in the hospital. The victims are receiving intensive treatment for their injuries and psychological support for a speedy recovery.

"They are still being treated and their mental condition is still depressed," said Commissioner Pol Leonardus Simamarta, Chief of Malang City Police, on Tuesday (4/1).

1. Victims Often Cry

Leo recounted that the victim is still in a traumatized state and often cries when remembering the incident that happened on January 15. That is why the police have not yet directly requested a statement from the victim's witnesses, who are currently focused on their healing process. 

"At first, they can still be talked to, but after a few minutes, they become traumatized, still remember, and cry," he explained.

2. Victim Thrown on Paving and Tree

Investigators have requested statements from seven witnesses who are all friends of the victim. They have also requested statements from the reporting witness, namely the victim's parents, uncle, and aunt.

The perpetrator stated that the victim was lifted up by a group of people before being thrown onto the paving. The perpetrator also admitted to throwing the victim towards a tree.

"For further clarification, we will listen to the victim's witness statements. These are just statements from their friends (the perpetrators). The victim was lifted up by a group of people and thrown onto the paving while lying down. Their legs were facing outward, and their positions were the same, but they were thrown towards the Keci tree," he recounted.

3. Perpetrator Just Playing Around

The incident did not occur during school hours, but during a break. The perpetrator also admitted that their actions were done just for fun or to bully their friend.

"There was no teaching and learning activities. They claimed it was just for fun, joking around. But the fact is, they admitted to joking around," he emphasized.

MS (13) is currently undergoing treatment at Lavalette Hospital in Malang City after being a victim of excessive bullying by their schoolmates. The victim, who is in 7th grade, suffered bruises and bruises on their fingers, arms, back, and legs.
