Kapanlagi.com - Unique goat names and beautiful Sales Promotion Girls (SPG) become the attraction of sacrificial animal sales in Malang City. The goats are sold in rented empty land, with beautiful female attendants ready to provide information from their mobile screens.
Women with cowboy-style laken hats are among the sacrificial animals. They will welcome every potential buyer who comes to their stall on Jalan Raya Sulfat, Malang City.
"Please, sir, how much is the goat?" said Bawon Shofia (20) on Jalan Raya Sulfat, Malang City, Thursday (30/7).
Seasonal sacrificial animal sellers intentionally rent empty land for their stalls. The goats are tied to poles with a distinctive aroma from hundreds of sacrificial animals.
Shofia takes care of her employer's stall with her mobile phone. Despite her appearance, she is not awkward among the sacrificial animals.

Buyers who come will receive service by presenting a list of goat names along with their specifications. Goats can be chosen according to the listed names, along with their types, prices, and weights. If the price is suitable, buyers can pay directly, either in cash or by transferring to a bank account.
The goats are given names of famous celebrities like action actor Jet Li, Van Damme, Chuck Norris, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The names of idol soccer players from Ivory Coast, Drogba, and funny action movie characters, Bo Bho Ho, are also given to the names of sacrificial animals.

The owner of the goat stall, Khusnul Khotimah (39), said that the idea of using unique names is only for sales attraction. Those names are intentionally chosen because they are popular and easily recognized, besides being idols.
"Initially, it was prepared for online sales," said Khusnul Khotimah, the owner of Sumber Barokah Farm (SBF) in his stall.
Khusnul sells sacrificial animals with his family every year and for the past two years, they have also supported online sales. Photos of goats can be accessed through the website, which also provides a guide on how to purchase and make payments.
"Last year, we sold online, but it wasn't during the Covid-19 pandemic. People were free to come to the stall," he explained.
The price of the goats being sold ranges from Rp 2.5 million to Rp 10 million, depending on the type and weight. Khusnul admitted to having sold over 100 goats and 10 cows, both online and directly at the barn.
"We started receiving online orders a month ago. Maybe because many people are reducing their outings or interactions," he said.
"The goats that have been sold are kept in the barn to prevent stress and make it easier to feed them," he explained.
Khusnul said that his sales have increased compared to last year, when he sold 81 goats. Meanwhile, he brought around 80 goats to the stall and still has 35 goats left unsold.
"But there are still a few more days. Usually, we slaughter them on Saturday, and Sunday is still Tasrik day. Hopefully, everything will be sold," he hoped.
Khusnul sells sacrificial animals every year in Malang. At least 10 people are employed to take care of the goats, both in the village and at the rented stall.
