The Faculty of Medicine at Brawijaya University (FKUB) stated that the deceased was currently undergoing professional education as a young doctor (Koas) at Saiful Anwar Hospital (RSSA) in Malang. The deceased had previously pursued a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from the 2014 cohort.
"The faculty traced the poster that was circulating and collected information from several people within the faculty. Based on the poster, we gathered the data and found that the deceased was an active UB student," explained Vice Dean III of FKUB, Dr. Eriko Prawestiningtyas, in a press conference at the Faculty of Medicine at Brawijaya University in Malang on Wednesday (13/4).
The campus identified the deceased's academic history after learning about a missing person poster on social media. In addition, the identity of the victim as a UB student from Jalan Letjen Suprapto Tulungagung was strengthened by statements from investigators.
However, the campus has not yet received detailed information regarding the deceased's personal activities during Koas. But it is certain that the deceased was not a young doctor with problems.
"The individual had completed all departments in the medical profession, and was only waiting for the competency exam," he said.
Previously, the body of a man in a decomposed state was found in Purwodadi Village, Purwodadi District, Pasuruan Regency. The body, which was initially thought to be that of a dead cat, was found in the bushes on the side of the road on Tuesday (4/12) at 08.30 WIB.
