Dewa United Willing to Postpone Grand Launching Event to Support the Government in Combating the Spread of Covid-19

Kapanlagi.com - The Grand Launching event of Dewa United, which was planned to be held on Sunday (20/6) tomorrow at ICE BSD, Tangerang, had to be postponed. Not without reason, the increasing spread of Covid-19 has forced all crew and committee members to take preventive measures for the sake of everyone's safety.

The announcement of the postponement was officially made on Thursday (17/6) by Tommy Hermawan Lo, the Founder of Dewa United. He also apologized to the public who had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of this spectacular and historic event.

"We sincerely apologize to all parties involved who have supported the implementation of this event. Especially to the Indonesian people who have been waiting for the historic moment of Dewa United's grand launching as a sign of our presence in the sports and entertainment scene of the country. We are forced to postpone this grand launching," said Tommy Hermawan Lo on Thursday (17/6).

According to Tommy, the decision to postpone the grand launching, which had been prepared well in advance, was a very difficult one. But nevertheless, Dewa United is a sports club that always supports whatever steps the government takes. Especially in preventing the spread of Covid-19, which is currently increasing.

"Dewa United stands together with the government and all parties who are fighting together to combat and prevent the spread of Covid-19," he added.

1. Don't Want to Take Risks

Tommy could have taken steps to still hold the event with strict implementation of health protocols. However, after careful consideration, he is unwilling to take that risk for the sake of safety and the common good. Tommy does not want Dewa United to potentially become a cluster of transmission of the Wuhan virus from China.

"I want Dewa United to be healthy and the community to be healthy. Dewa United strong, community strong," he added briefly.

Tommy promises to introduce 3 divisions of Dewa United in the future, surely with a more magnificent and interesting event concept. He hopes that the Indonesian community will continue to follow the developments and continue to support the Dewa United teams, namely Dewa United Football Club (FC), Dewa United Basketball Club (BC), and Dewa United Esports.

As previously reported, Dewa United plans to hold a grand launching event at ICE BSD, Tangerang, on Sunday (10/6). Even the event, which will be hosted by presenter duo Vincent and Desta and will feature Nidji and Ben Utomo performing the Dewa United anthem, will also be broadcast live on the DEWA UNITED Youtube channel. In addition, there are also various attractive giveaways, such as 2 motorcycles and dozens of smartphones for those lucky enough to witness the grand launching.

"Just wait. We will hold a grand launching on another more interesting occasion, with a venue arrangement that brings high technology and spectacular concept," Tommy concluded.
