Kapanlagi.com - In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the market is one of the sectors that has been greatly affected because buying and selling is usually done face to face. Caring for traders and the ecosystem of traditional markets, Adira Finance through Adira Finance Syariah collaborates to hold a CSR program entitled Festival Pasar Rakyat (FPR) 2020 from November to December 2020, in collaboration with the Mask Usage Movement (GPM) and the Indonesian Market Managers Association (ASPARINDO).

"In line with the tagline 'Sahabat Setia Selamanya' (Forever Faithful Friend) and in commemoration of Adira Finance's 30th anniversary, FPR 2020 will be a channel to provide education on health protocols, as well as prepare the community of traditional market towards the digital era as a adaptation to the new normal. This is also an effort to encourage the ecosystem of traditional markets to rise and continue to develop during the pandemic," said Swandajani Gunadi, Director of HR & Marketing at Adira Finance, in a virtual press conference, written on Saturday (11/7).

With the overarching theme of #BangkitBersamaSahabat (#RiseTogetherWithFriends), FPR 2020 has a mission to enhance the understanding of traders about the importance of maintaining health by implementing health protocols in the traditional market environment, as well as digitalization in the market through education programs, training, and mentoring. This is necessary so that their businesses can survive and grow as a form of technological adaptation, especially in times of pandemic like this.

The health education provided in the FPR 2020 program is related to the prevention of Covid-19 in 30 markets spread across 6 cities in Indonesia (Jakarta, South Tangerang, Cirebon, Yogyakarta, Aceh, and Makassar), by distributing masks to the ecosystem in the traditional market.

"If the community, including those who trade in traditional markets, are disciplined in wearing masks correctly and following other health protocols, such as maintaining distance and regularly washing hands with soap and running water, then we can control the pandemic. Even if in the future, there is another pandemic, which is inevitable, the community will be more prepared. Because the community already has a culture of wearing masks and living healthier," said Sigit.

In addition to health education, there are also a series of continuous webinars held for participants in 6 cities, with the theme 'Let's Trade Online'. This theme is created to provide perspectives to traders and the ecosystem in the market about the importance of understanding digital/online trading.

In addition to targeting traders and the ecosystem of traditional markets, the Festival Pasar Rakyat 2020 also holds a photography and creative writing competition with the theme 'Diversity in the Traditional Market #BangkitBersamaSahabat'. A competition is held to encourage public participation through photos and written works, in order to support the existence of traditional markets in Indonesia, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

For the photography competition, it will be held virtually so that participants can develop their creativity by capturing photos from videos of the condition of traditional markets that will be distributed through Adira Finance's Youtube channel. Meanwhile, the writing competition is specifically held for media friends, so they can invite the public through their written works to support the existence of traditional markets in Indonesia.
