Emtek Cares for Corona Provides Direct Assistance to the Mayor of Surabaya in the Fight Against Covid-19

Kapanlagi.com - PT. ELANG MAHKOTA TEKNOLOGI, Tbk (EMTEK) shows its concern in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic through the Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP). As of today, Thursday (23/4), the total donations received from SCTV and Indosiar viewers as well as Bukalapak users have reached Rp. 10,422,591.

Since mid-March, the EMTEK Cares for Corona program has distributed various medical assistance to various hospitals and communities affected by the economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Until today, the distribution of aid has expanded throughout the archipelago, with the latest being carried out in the heroic city of Surabaya.

A total of 1,500 basic necessities packages worth Rp 150 million were handed over directly to the Mayor of Surabaya, Mrs. Tri Rismaharini or Bu Risma. During the aid handover process, all parties adhere to the health and safety protocols set by the government, namely by maintaining distance (physical distancing) and always wearing masks and gloves.

1. Distribution of 100 Packages of Groceries and 24 Liters of Disinfectant

In addition to Surabaya, today EMTEK Cares for Corona also delivered 100 packages of groceries and 24 liters of disinfectant along with spraying equipment. This activity took place in RW 08 Kp. Jati, Jatimulya Bekasi, which is inhabited by 1,800 households. According to the testimony of the local RW administrators, the majority of residents have daily jobs as online motorcycle taxi drivers, factory workers, laundry workers, construction workers, tempe makers, and elderly people who are greatly affected by the current situation.

Meanwhile, the liquid disinfectant aid and equipment are directly used to spray public facilities such as mosques and prayer rooms in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Kelurahan Curug, West Bogor also became a distribution point for EMTEK Cares for Corona today. A total of 150 packages of groceries were distributed to residents who work as online motorcycle taxi drivers, food sellers in school cafeterias, and other freelance jobs. Some of the distribution of grocery packages were also assisted by the local Community Empowerment Institution.

Meanwhile, on Friday (24/4) tomorrow, EMTEK Cares for Corona plans to deliver 10,000 packages of groceries directly to the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Juliari P. Batubara, at the Ministry of Social Affairs office.
