Emtek Group Officially Broadcasts 314 Matches of the New Format Liga 1 Season

Based on this fact, Elang Mahkota Teknologi (Emtek Group) once again became the holder of the broadcasting rights for Liga 1. A total of 314 matches of Liga 1 2023/2024 will be broadcasted, with details of 306 regular series matches and eight championship series matches.

Together with PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), Emtek Group held a press conference for Liga 1 2023/2024 at the SCTV Tower, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (15/6/2023). The press conference was attended by the Chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir, the CEO of PT LIB, Ferry Paulus, and the Director of Programming of Surya Citra Media (SCM), Harsiwi Achmad.

"What Mr. Erick Thohir and Mr. Ferry Paulus conveyed made us happy. We have been broadcasting Liga 1 since 2018. Liga 1 has not started yet, but we have already broadcasted more than ten Liga 1 club trial matches throughout June 2023. The goal is to warm up Liga 1," said Harsiwi.

1. Indosiar Broadcasts 213 Matches, Vidio 101 Games

Harsiwi said Indosiar will broadcast 213 Liga 1 matches. Meanwhile, the remaining 101 games can be exclusively watched on Vidio.

"All matches are broadcast on Indosiar and Vidio. There have been many changes made. I am confident that Liga 1 next season will be much more explosive than before," said Harsiwi.

"The schedule is also accurate and definite. We have received the schedule for the entire season arranged in such a way. There are two kick-off times. So, this is good certainty for us," he added.

2. Begins on July 1, 2023

Liga 1 2023-2024 as the highest football competition in Indonesia will start on July 1, 2023. There will be something different in the upcoming season with the implementation of the new Regular Series and Championship Series formats.

A total of 18 best Indonesian clubs that have competed in the previous season will once again compete for the most prestigious title this season. The 18 clubs are PSM Makassar, Persija Jakarta, Persib Bandung, Borneo FC Samarinda, Bali United FC, Persebaya Surabaya, Bhayangkara FC, Madura United, Persita, Persis Solo, Persik Kediri, Arema FC, PSIS Semarang, Persikabo 1973, PS Barito Putera, PSS Sleman, Dewa United FC, and Rans Nusantara FC.

3. New Format for Regular Series and Championship Series

The 2023/2024 Liga 1 season is set to be more exciting with a different match format from the previous season. In the Liga 1 press conference, PSSI announced that the new format will be Regular Series and Championship Series.

In the Regular Series, all clubs will play home and away matches for 34 weeks. Meanwhile, in the Championship Series, the top four clubs in the standings at the end of the Regular Series will compete for the Liga 1 2023/2024 Champion title.

In addition, the promotion and relegation scheme will also be implemented this season, making the competition among the 18 clubs even more intense to achieve the best position in the Liga 1 2023/2024 standings.
