Emtek Media Becomes the Only Indonesian Representative at the ContentAsia Awards 2026, Vidio Sweeps Seven Nominations

This media group is officially the only representative from Indonesia to have made it onto the nomination list of the ContentAsia Awards 2026, a prestigious award that recognizes the best works in the content and media industry in Asia.

Interestingly, all the nominations received by Indonesia this year come from the Emtek Media ecosystem. A total of nine nominations have been collected through Vidio, SCTV, and MOJI, showcasing the strong competitiveness of local content amid the competitive landscape of the Asian media industry.

Among all the nominations, the streaming platform Vidio contributes the most with seven nominations across various categories, ranging from drama series, comedy, cinematography, to awards categories for actors and actresses.

1. Vidio Dominance of Nominations Through Original Content

Seven nominations received by Vidio prove the platform's consistency in presenting high-quality original content from various genres.

The series Mama Mama Pengejar Cinta is nominated for Best Comedy Programme Made in Asia, while Algojo has achieved two nominations simultaneously, namely Best Cinematography in a TV Series and Best Drama Series Made in Asia for a Single Asian Market.

On an individual level, Maria Theodore received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress thanks to her performance in Jalinan Terlarang, while Randy Pangalila is nominated for Best Supporting Actor through the series Algojo.

Moreover, two popular Indonesian stars are also in the viewer's choice category. Arya Saloka is nominated as Viewers' Choice Favourite Actor, while Haico Van der Veken competes in the Viewers' Choice Favourite Actress category.

Meanwhile, SCTV received a nomination for Best Variety Programme Made in Asia through the program Malam Puncak HUT SCTV 35 Xtraordinary, while MOJI entered the nomination for Best Sports Magazine Programme Made in Asia through Road to Final Putra Proliga 2025.

The winners of the ContentAsia Awards 2026 will be announced at an awards night taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 27, 2026.
