Encouraging SMEs in Indonesia to be Digitally Savvy, Grab Collaborates with Emtek Group

Kapanlagi.com - A collaboration has been established between Grab and Emtek Group. Both parties will utilize their reach and the strength of their ecosystems to advance digital economy in Indonesia.

Through this collaboration, Grab and Emtek group support the acceleration of digital transformation for SMEs in the country. This is done as an effort to expand digital and financial inclusion for all Indonesian citizens.

Several important figures in Indonesia witnessed the collaboration between Grab and Emtek Group. For example, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Teten Masduki.

"This supports the government's program to encourage 30 million SME players to be present in the digital ecosystem by 2024. What needs to be considered is that the aspect of digital transformation is not only about presence but also about increasing production literacy. Especially the market aspect. I see that Grab and Emtek have targeted this. This helps our SMEs enter the digital market chain," said Teten Masduki in response to this collaboration.

Also present were Managing Director of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk. (Emtek Group) Sutanto Hartono, President of Grab Indonesia Ridzki Kramadibrata, Country Managing Director of Grab Indonesia Neneng Goenadi, and CEO of Bukalapak Rachmat Kaimuddin.

Country Managing Director of Grab Indonesia, Neneng Goenadi, said that the potential and opportunities of technology are still quite significant. Therefore, it can still be further improved to enhance the economy of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"We want to emphasize Grab's commitment to Indonesia. The technology that has been able to improve the standard of living of the people can still have its potential enhanced," she said.

This collaboration is expected to increase the number of digitally literate micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) so that they can compete with other businesses.

"Through this collaboration, we hope that more MSMEs will utilize digital platforms. This collaboration also provides access to the Indonesian and international markets," said Managing Director of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (Emtek Group), Sutanto Hartono, in an online discussion in Jakarta on Monday (26/7/2021).
