Es Cincau Seller Gropes the Chest of Child Buyers

Kapanlagi.com - KS (49), an ice cincau seller who roams around in Malang Regency was arrested after committing sexual harassment. The perpetrator groped the chest of child buyers.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Malang Resort Police stated that the incident started when they received information about a viral video on Facebook. KS was apprehended by a joint team from the Criminal Investigation Unit of Malang Resort Police and Pakisaji Police Station in Glanggang Village, Pakisaji District.

"After conducting intensive questioning, the person admitted that he was the one in the viral video," said AKP Gandha Syah Hidayat, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Malang Resort Police when contacted on Saturday (11/25).

The perpetrator comes from Cileles District, Lebak Regency, Banten, who sells goods around daily. The viral video circulating on Facebook social media occurred in a residential area in Pakisaji, Malang Regency.

At that time, the victim, a 9-year-old girl, was playing in the village. The victim was suddenly called by a seller of cincau ice who was roaming around.

2. Not Only Once

Shortly after, the victim was offered cincau ice and was allowed to take it herself. When the victim took the cincau ice, the perpetrator suddenly touched the victim's chest area.

This act was repeatedly done by the perpetrator to the victim. In fact, the perpetrator also took a photo of the victim while committing the act.

The police, who became aware of the circulating video, immediately went to the scene of the incident and conducted an investigation. Eventually, the perpetrator was identified and apprehended along with evidence such as clothing and a cellphone, then taken to the Malang Police Station for further processing.

3. Evidence of the Perpetrator's Pornographic Video Browsing

Based on the examination results, the police found a shocking fact that dozens of website history containing pornographic content were discovered. The perpetrator is suspected to have engaged in such deviant behavior since being far away from his wife in his hometown.

“The web browser history in question contains searches, I apologize, for inappropriate videos related to children,” he explained.

4. Es Cincau Modus Operandi

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of Malang Police, Ipda Muhammad Adnan Kohar, added that the perpetrator's modus operandi was by offering free es cincau (a type of drink) to the victims. As a result, the victims were deceived and off guard, and that's when the perpetrator made inappropriate advances towards the victims.

“The modus operandi used by the perpetrator is to offer free es cincau to the victims, and when the victims are off guard, the perpetrator performs such inappropriate actions,” explained Ipda Adnan.

The suspect, KS, is charged under Article 82 in conjunction with Article 76E of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. The perpetrator faces a minimum sentence of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years in prison.
