The memorandum of understanding was signed by President Director of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk Anggara Hans Prawira and Executive Chairman and Co-founder of WIR Group, Daniel Surya in Jakarta, Thursday (14/4).

“Currently, digital technology has brought a new pattern for businesses, including changes in consumer shopping patterns that were previously unimaginable. Without adopting digital technology advances, business actors will certainly find it difficult to keep up with developments or to continue to compete in increasingly tight competition. Alfamart must be able to quickly change our perspective, considering the acceleration of digital technology progress is very high,” said Hans.
“Metaverse is an inevitability that will soon develop as a new place where customers can experience virtual shopping at Alfamart,” he added.
Executive Chairman and Co-founder of WIR Group, Daniel Surya, said that collaboration with Alfamart is a strategic collaboration, considering that Alfamart already has a strong retail network.
“The participation of retail power in Indonesia like Alfamart in the metaverse, of course, we hope can encourage other sectors to follow suit so that they can improve a strong and diverse metaverse ecosystem. On the other hand, the presence of this business power can support the acceleration of digital transformation and the implementation of digital economy planned by the government to be able to prosper the Indonesian people,” said Daniel.
