1. How to Blend the Creativity of Creators

Averrous explains that the way the Pear Press team blends all the works of creators who contributed to the making of this book is by providing space, concepts, and layout composition.

"The way to blend it is actually at Pear Press in our book, we provide a space that is essentially like the design process in general. We prepare the initial concept and layout composition that comes from the instax, which seems simple, instant, and straightforward, and of course, within it, there is an upgrading process from us and the details from the Fujifilm team," said Averrous in the Sudirman area of Jakarta, Thursday (17/04).

2. Challenges in Book Production

At the launch event of the book Instaxnesia: A Nation of Creative Expression, Averrous also explained the challenges in designing a very thick book that has two languages.

"The challenge is how we balance between text and image composition because this book has two languages. Then another challenge is definitely how to find the formula for visual language from the beginning to the whole," said Averrous.

3. Inspiration of Hana Madness's Work

Hana Madness explains that the inspiration for her work comes from the events in her life that have the power to speak about humanity.

"Because all this time I have always created works based on the things that happen within me that are narrative and have their own power to discuss humanity, both within myself and the collective out there," said Hana Madness.

She also explains that this book can serve as a medium to voice the unrest within herself and others out there.

"Essentially, art is about connecting human emotions. This inspiration comes from the awareness that I am not alone in facing mental disabilities. This can be a medium to voice the unrest within me and others out there," Hana continued.

4. About the Book Instaxnesia: A Nation of Creative Expression

The book Instaxnesia: A Nation of Creative Expression is a collaborative artbook between instax and 35 Indonesian creators that explores the visual dialogue between instant photography and the richness of Indonesia's subculture landscapes. This book features Indonesian creators such as Hana Madness, Lala Bohang, Gina S. Noer, Laze, and others.

This book is divided into several categories such as Solo Visualizer, Words and Performance, Sound and Music, Platform and Collective, and Craft and Lifestyle. All proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to 7 orphanages in Indonesia. The book has been available for purchase at the nearest Gramedia store since March 19, 2025, at a price of Rp 280,000.
