Kapanlagi.com - The community is currently in a dilemma due to the increasing number of COVID-19 coronavirus infections. This month, all Muslims will perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer. There were rumors that the Eid al-Fitr prayer would be canceled, but finally the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) issued a fatwa to respond to the Muslim community's grand celebration in Indonesia during this pandemic by allowing the Eid al-Fitr prayer to be performed at home. And here is the procedure for performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer during this coronavirus pandemic.

This is in accordance with the provisions stated by the MUI, that the Eid al-Fitr prayer can be performed at home in congregation with family members or individually (munfarid), especially if one is in an area with uncontrolled spread of COVID-19. In addition, the implementation of the Eid al-Fitr prayer, whether in mosques or at home, must still adhere to health protocols and prevent potential transmission.

So, how is the procedure for performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer individually at home? Check out the complete review below:

1. Provisions for Eid al-Fitr Prayer at Home

The guidelines for performing Eid al-Fitr prayer at home and its provisions in the MUI fatwa during the corona covid-19 pandemic are as follows:

-Eid al-Fitr prayer performed at home can be done in congregation or individually.

-If Eid al-Fitr prayer is performed in congregation, the provisions are as follows:

-The minimum number of congregants for the prayer is 4 people, one imam and 3 followers.

-The method of prayer follows the provisions in section III (Guidelines for Congregational Eid al-Fitr Prayer) of this fatwa.

-After the prayer, the sermon is delivered by the preacher following the provisions in section IV of this fatwa.

-If the number of congregants is less than four people or if there is no one capable of delivering the sermon during the congregational prayer at home, then Eid al-Fitr prayer can be performed in congregation without the sermon.

-If Eid al-Fitr prayer is performed individually (munfarid), the provisions are as follows:

a. Intend to perform Eid al-Fitr prayer individually.

b. Perform the prayer silently (sirr).

c. The method of implementation refers to section III (Guidelines for Congregational Eid al-Fitr Prayer) of this fatwa.

d. There is no sermon.

2. Intention for Eid al-Fitr Prayer

Fatwa MUI Number 28 of 2020 states that Eid al-Fitr prayer can be performed at home in congregation with family members. If performed in congregation, the minimum number of congregants for Eid al-Fitr prayer is 4 people, with one person as the imam and three people as the followers.

Basically, the procedure for Eid al-Fitr prayer is the same as the general prayer procedure. However, the intention for Eid al-Fitr prayer is different from the intention for other prayers. Here is the intention for Eid al-Fitr prayer as the initial procedure for performing it at home.

Intention for Eid al-Fitr prayer as the imam:

"Ushalli sunnatan li 'idil fithri rak 'ataini imaman lillahi ta'alaa"

Meaning:

"I intend to perform the sunnah prayer of Eid al-Fitr, two units, as the imam for the sake of Allah Almighty"

Intention for Eid al-Fitr prayer as the follower:

"Ushalli sunnatan li 'idil fithri rak 'ataini makmuuman lillahi ta'ala"

Meaning:
"I intend to perform the sunnah prayer of Eid al-Fitr, two units, as the follower for the sake of Allah Almighty"

Intention for Eid al-Fitr prayer itself:

"Ushalli sunnatan li 'idil fithri rak 'ataini lillahi ta'alaa"

Meaning:
"I intend to perform the sunnah prayer of Eid al-Fitr, two units, for the sake of Allah Almighty"

3. Procedures for Eid al-Fitr Prayer at Home

If the Eid al-Fitr prayer is performed collectively at home, then the imam is recommended to recite the prayer loudly. However, if the Eid al-Fitr prayer is performed individually, it is sufficient to recite it with a soft voice.

-Takbiratul ihram

-Reciting the Opening Supplication (Doa Iftitah)

-Reciting the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) seven times, where each takbir is followed by the following supplication:

"Subhanallah wal hamdulillah wa laa ilaha ilallah wallahu akbar

Meaning:

"Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Him, there is no god but Allah, Allah is the Greatest."

-After the seventh takbir, the next step is to recite Surah Al-Fatihah.

-Followed by reciting other chapters of the Quran, but if you are a follower, it is sufficient to listen and pay attention to the surahs recited by the imam. The first recommended surah to recite is Surah Al-'Ala.

-Performing the bowing position (ruku') and standing upright after it (tumakninah).

-Performing the prostration (sujud) and standing upright after it (tumakninah).

-Sitting between the two prostrations and standing upright after it (tumakninah).

-Performing the second prostration and standing upright after it (tumakninah).

-Reciting the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) five times and repeating the previous supplication.

-Reciting Al-Fatihah.

-Reciting another surah. The second recommended surah to recite is Surah Al-Ghashiyah.

-Performing the bowing position (ruku') and standing upright after it (tumakninah).

-Performing the prostration (sujud) and standing upright after it (tumakninah).

-Sitting between the two prostrations and standing upright after it (tumakninah).

-Listening to the sermon if you are a follower, delivering the sermon if you are the imam. However, if the Eid al-Fitr prayer is performed individually, there is no need for a sermon.

-The sermon begins with reciting the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) nine times as an opening.

That is the procedure for performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer at home, complete with the intention and the procedure for the Eid al-Fitr prayer. May it be beneficial.
