Kapanlagi.com - Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji, has tested positive for Covid-19. The certainty came after the laboratory test results came out from the hospital on Monday (30/11). The news was announced through a video broadcasted on his Instagram account, Sam Sutiaji, on Tuesday (1/12) afternoon.
"In response to the speculation that Mr. Mayor cannot carry out activities, I would like to convey that a series of activities that we have been doing, we initially limited ourselves while waiting for the results from several examinations conducted by both Lapesda and the Regional General Hospital (RSDA)," said Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji, firmly in his video.
Sutiaji admitted to undergoing a series of examination stages. When the rapid test result came out non-reactive, as well as the blood test and general check-up.
Sutiaji, who appeared with an infusion on his hand, admitted to not having any symptoms, so he initially intended to continue his activities. However, it was then decided together with his family to temporarily stay at home and limit activities.
"But because I felt unwell, I had to limit myself, so I couldn't carry out activities. The laboratory results came out last night, and it was confirmed that we tested positive," he said firmly.
Sutiaji also revealed that he has issued a circular for WFH in the Malang City Government environment. WFH has been implemented since today, Tuesday (1/12).
"We have issued a circular to all civil servants for 14 days of WFH. Half of them come to the office, half work from home, and they take turns continuously," he said.
At the end of the video, Sutiaji reminded the people of Malang City to continue to maintain their health and adhere to health protocols. Health is something very important and must be continuously maintained.
"Hopefully, we can resume our activities as usual. Because there are still many tasks that we need to do," he said.
Sutiaji also admitted that he does not know the source of transmission until he tested positive for Covid-19. "Until now, it is not known where I contracted the Covid-19 virus," he emphasized.
