What does a house mean to you?Not just a place to live, a house has a deeper meaning for each individual who occupies it.Like the story shared by Nike Prima. Initially considered as a place to return and rest, slowly the meaning of home shifted to become a place for the body and to develop oneself, both personally and as a family.
Love for this home is what ultimately led Nike to develop Living Loving. "Living in a home makes love for the home grow. I eventually turned Living Loving from just a blog into a YouTube channel and also created social media accounts. As time went on, I, as a resident of the house and also as Living Loving, realized that a home is not just about how it looks. A home should be a place that makes its occupants feel safe and comfortable. From there, the topics expanded to not only visual aspects but also how to fill it," explained Nike.
Having a first home often becomes a topic that makes young people feel confused. There are options to rent and buy a house directly, what are the advantages and disadvantages? Also present in this session is Secure Sales Head of Danamon, Wirawan. He explained the benefits and advantages of each option. Buying a house directly is certainly a source of pride. Moreover, a promising investment instrument that can also be inherited. However, it certainly requires a larger budget to realize it.
Meanwhile, renting a house can be considered because the budget is smaller. However, there are many factors that also need to be considered, such as having to move places or the rental price increasing every year. Whatever choice is made, make sure it suits your needs.
Wirawan also added that even though the effort to buy a house is greater and now in a pandemic condition, it can actually be an opportunity.
“Since I have been involved in the mortgage world since 2002, I have never experienced such low mortgage interest rates, so this is an opportunity. Many relaxations are given. The most important and unprecedented thing in history is the government-funded VAT incentives, which were initially only until August 2021 but have been extended until the end of 2021. This is a bonus, because in normal conditions it is not possible. It's a good timing to buy,” Wirawan continued.
The good news is, Bank Danamon also offers attractive offers for home financing that can make your dream of owning a home come true. Starting from a low interest rate of 4.65%, cashback up to Rp 750,000, to appraisal fees for the first 65 customers. Just check it out at bdi.co.id/bungaringan.
After sharing stories about houses, the next session in 650 Minutes of Action and Collaboration is about Friends with Business Benefits. This story is shared by Rudy Salim, a successful entrepreneur whose name is no stranger in the business world of Indonesia.
Being one of the successful entrepreneurs, not many people know that he grew up in a family of doctors. He was forced to become a doctor but dropped out of college, Rudy finally chose to develop a business from scratch by selling his car.
“My first business was microfinance, which is now a well-known platform called fintech. I earned money from it for 6 years, and finally in 2012 I was able to open my first showroom. Previously, there were only 3 units of cars. Eventually, it grew, and I collaborated with Raffi Ahmad and Luna Maya in the food business. In 2017, we established a production house together with Raffi Ahmad, RA Pictures. In 2019, I ventured into the food business again and created Wolfgang Steakhouse. Then in 2020, I acquired the agency of Renault Indonesia, hoping that its shares will be listed on the stock exchange next year," Rudy said.
Rudy's growing business is certainly based on the key collaboration with his friends. Another collaboration story was also shared by Pancaran Affendi, Managing Director, Head of Global Corporate & Institutional Banking for Indonesia, MUFG Bank, who also participated in the session.
"How did the collaboration between Bank Danamon and MUFG Bank happen? The main reason behind it is the shared goal that made MUFG Group collaborate with Bank Danamon because they saw added value, especially from the customers of both banks. This is the most fundamental philosophy. The second one is also seen whether there is a prospect or growth opportunity," he explained in the talkshow session.
The last session of the 650 Minutes of Action and Collaboration talkshow featured one of the famous film directors in Indonesia, Joko Anwar. He shared about how an interesting film is one that can relate to its audience.
"A film is a character's journey, not just the action or the ghosts. How we create characters that can relate to the audience so that they can enter the story. People will be able to gain a lot of experience by following the character's journey from beginning to end. It's up to them how they interpret it," explained Joko.
The film industry is one that requires a lot of collaboration in its process. He mentioned that collaboration is the number one key, film techniques and aesthetics must collaborate in order to create a film that is enjoyed by the audience.
The current pandemic situation is indeed a heavy blow for those in the film industry, especially those who work as freelancers. Facing this uncertain condition, Asthika Dhammasatya, Bancassurance Product & Marketing Head of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, provides tips on what freelancers should prepare.
"The first one is to prepare an emergency fund, so that if something happens, you can use the emergency fund to meet your needs." Second, completing protection. Even though the income is not as regular as permanent employees, it is important to take care of our loved ones with health and life protection. For example, life insurance can provide peace of mind, so if we have long-term obligations and something happens to us, we don't burden our family. Similarly, during the transition period, the family we leave behind can be covered," explained the person familiarly known as Mr. Aska.
