Hendro said that the banned or blacklist sanctions can be imposed by TN BTS on the person concerned. The mechanism of sanctions for visitors has also been given to visitors climbing Mount Semeru, which is also under TN BTS.

"It is possible that we can implement such sanctions, approximately a blacklist like that we can do," said Hendro Wijonarko, Head of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BB TNBTS) BB TNBTS, on Friday (22/9).

"We have given it to some climbers who have been blacklisted, there are several that we have blacklisted, I think," he said.

Hendro previously stated that the extent of Forest and Land Fires (Karhutla) in the BTS National Park area reached 504 hectares. Meanwhile, the specific losses caused by fires triggered by flare ignition reached Rp5.4 billion.

These figures do not include the cost of extinguishing using helicopters or water bombing carried out by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). Because the funding for aerial firefighting is provided by the BNPB.

2. Stricter Visitor Inspection in the Future

The estimate also does not include the cost of repairing the clean water pipes owned by the community that were damaged due to Karhutla. Because, according to the guidance of the East Java Governor, the government of East Java Province plans to compensate for the damage.

Hendro also stated that visitor inspections will be tightened in the future. However, visitors are also expected to not only click when ordering tickets.

"We urge visitors not only to click, but also to understand the prohibitions and what to bring, for example. Because in this dry season, extra caution is needed," he explained.

3. Bromo Tourist Quota Only 2,700 People/Day

TN BTS has reopened tourist visits and implemented quotas according to its capacity, namely 2,700 people per day. The number has been studied taking into consideration the comfort of visitors.

"So that it's comfortable and supports the area's carrying capacity, we have studied it. For example, we have 2,700 people, with around 600 at Penanjakan viewpoint, 800 at Kedaluh, and 800 at Bukit Cinta. So it's in accordance with the carrying capacity," he concluded.
