PS5, The New Generation Playstation with New Features Ready to be Released in Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - The latest generation of our beloved game console is approaching its release date. After waiting for so long and speculating about what PS5 has to offer, Sony finally answered all of that through a Live Reveal on Youtube. There, they answered two important questions from their fans, when and how much. Sony explained that PS5 will be ready for release on November 12, 2020 in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. Indonesia and other countries will get the PS5 on November 19, 2020.

PS5 will be released in 2 types, namely the regular type and the digital type. The regular type of PS5 has a disk drive or a game cartridge slot, while the digital type of PS5 does not have a disk drive, which means this type of PS5 can only obtain games by downloading. As for the price, the regular PS5 is priced at $499 and the digital PS5 is priced at $399. If converted with the current exchange rate of Rp 14,661, both of them are priced at Rp 7.3 million and Rp 5.8 million respectively. However, the price in Indonesia is predicted to be higher due to taxes that need to be paid. 

1. Registered in Indonesia

Previously, there was a fuss about PS5 not being released in Indonesia, but now there is no need to worry. PT Sony Indonesia has registered PS5 along with other supporting devices to the SDPPI Directorate General. The devices that have been registered by PT Sony Indonesia are the regular PS5, digital PS5, DualShock Wireless Controller (PS5 controller), Media Remote, and Wireless headset.  

2. Introducing Streaming Features

As the successor to the PS4, fans are certainly expecting advanced and interesting features. The most interesting one is the use of PS5 for streaming. In the PS5 Media Remote, there are special buttons to access Netflix, Disney Plus, and Twitch. Even without the Media Remote, we can access Netflix using the PS5 controller. The X button is used to confirm our selection, the O button is used to go back to the previous page.

The access method is also easy. PS5 users only need to enter their Netflix account information in the available application and can immediately start watching. This is done to spoil the users so they don't need to switch devices when they want to watch a movie after playing games. In order to spoil both fans (Netflix and gamers), Netflix and game developer Ubisoft collaborate to create an international best-selling game adaptation, ASSASSIN'S CREED.

While waiting for the Netflix series ASSASSIN'S CREED, Netflix has also had adaptations of other games such as DAD OF LIGHT, CASTLEVANIA, DRAGON QUEST: YOUR STORY, DRAGON'S DOGMA, RESIDENT EVIL: INFINITE DARKNESS, and the currently popular THE WICTHER.
