Ready to Prove the Skills of MSMEs in Managing Businesses, Shopee Presents the Reality Show 'MSME Champions'

Kapanlagi.com - The breakthrough of the latest program called MSME Champions has been launched by Shopee Indonesia, as an e-commerce platform closely associated with MSME actors. This program is the first reality show-based MSME competition designed to prove the skills of MSME actors in managing their businesses.

The Ministry of MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia notes that the number of MSMEs in Indonesia has reached more than 64 million, contributing 61.07% to Indonesia's GDP. Helping these MSME entrepreneurs level up is a shared challenge from various parties, both government and private sectors, to encourage economic growth in the country.

Now, what if the best MSME entrepreneurs in Indonesia were brought together in a competition that challenges their strategies, creativity, and business resilience? The MSME Champions program serves as a platform for local entrepreneurs to hone their business skills, innovate, and transform professionally.

Through a series of challenges, participants will be tested in various aspects, ranging from efficient operational management, effective marketing strategies, to sustainable financial management. Not only that, they will also have the opportunity to receive direct guidance from top business experts in their fields.

“We are very excited to launch MSME Champions, the latest program innovation to advance the businesses of MSME entrepreneurs in Indonesia. Our mission for MSMEs will always be the same, which is to support the growth of local products and be a friend in helping MSMEs level up. The MSME Champions program is expected to assist MSME entrepreneurs in leveling up and undergoing an extraordinary business transformation,” said Shopee Indonesia's Executive Director, Christin Djuarto.

She added, “Through this program, participants have the opportunity to receive business guidance from experts, increase their business exposure, obtain additional business capital, and expand their networking, which ultimately can contribute to the growth of their businesses.”

The MSME Champions program will be packaged in a reality show format consisting of six episodes airing on Shopee Indonesia's YouTube channel. This competition will begin with a strict selection program until the top 40 participants are filtered to proceed to the next stage.

From there, 20 participants will enter the semifinal round, and only the 10 best MSMEs will advance to the final round to compete with ideas and business strategies in front of the jury panel to win a total prize of 1 billion Rupiah in the form of cash, business capital, store vouchers, and Shopee advertising balance.

Registration for the UMKM Champion competition has been opened and will take place from March 28 to April 30, 2025.
