Relying on the SIMASN Application, Tangerang City Government Accelerates Digitization of Employee Data

One of them is by launching the Civil Servant Management Information System (SIMASN) application. The application aims to facilitate the validation of personnel data as an effort to develop quality and professionalism, as well as an online personnel information system.

Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah hopes that through SIMASN, every employee will be able to easily update their personnel data independently. The number one person in Tangerang City said that this SIMASN application can be more user friendly, so that the digitalization process can be completed. SIMASN itself is an advanced development of the Regional Personnel Information System (SIKDA).

"In the future, it will cover not only civil servants but also temporary employees," said Arief during the opening of the SIMASN application socialization event, which was held online recently.

It is known that the event held by the Tangerang City Government through the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Tangerang City was attended by 100 employees and divided into two phases. The first phase took place for two days on November 12-13, 2020, and the second phase on November 23-24, 2020.

Arief targets that by early 2021, every employee of Tangerang City Government will have an account to facilitate the digitalization process of personnel data archives. This aims to further facilitate verification.

"For example, in every employee's promotion process," explained Arief.

Arief also explained that the process of updating personnel data could be one of the additional activities that must be carried out by every civil servant of Tangerang City Government.

"Give a deadline, if it is not done, it will have an impact on each employee's allowance," said Arief.

Civil servants will obtain various conveniences in managing personnel administration with the implementation of the SIMASN application, such as processing promotions, managing study permits, and so on.

In addition, with the existence of this application system, civil servants no longer need to submit documents when managing personnel administration, although there are some items that still need to be manually entered. It should be noted that SIMASN is one of the flagship programs of the Tangerang City Government. (*)
