Khiev Sameth also stated that the cooperation with Shopee as an official partner in the Asean Club Championship 2024/2025 tournament is expected to advance and develop football clubs in Southeast Asia.

"As a representative of the AFF Council, I would like to express our appreciation for the partnership and support provided by Shopee. We hope to collaborate with Shopee and commercial partner, SPORTFIVE, to organize world-class events and develop the ASEAN fan base to a higher level," he continued.

It is known that the Shopee Cup, which will take place from July 17, 2024, to May 21, 2025, will be presented in a league format with playoff qualification rounds and group stages featuring 12 prestigious clubs in ASEAN. These football clubs will compete with home and away matches to vie for the title of Shopee Cup Asean Club Championship 2024/2025.

This tournament will be attended by the National League Champions and Cup winners (or runners-up in certain situations) from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam (two teams from each country), as well as the representatives from the Philippines and Singapore (one team from each country). The National League Champions of Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar will compete for two spots in the tournament's Group Stage during the playoff qualification rounds.
